The Cosmos Rocks
As faixas de The Cosmos Rocks foram escritas por Brian May, Roger Taylor e Paul Rodgers em 2007 e no começo de 2008. O destaque vai para a música Say It’s Not True, que foi lançada para angariar fundos destinados a pesquisas contra a AIDS para a campanha de caridade organizada por Nelson Mandela (que publico neste post) e os clássicos de sempre, que não poderiam faltar.Estimulados por seus compromissos como embaixadores da campanha global de Nelson Mandela 46664 sobre a AIDS, cuja as atenções vão ser voltadas no dia primeiro de dezembro com uma sensibilização e fundos de um concerto em Joanesburgo para o World Aids Day. Brian May, Roger Taylor e Paul Rodgers anunciaram que terminaram uma música especialmente escrita para o 46664. E ficará disponível para download gratuito, em benefício do concerto.
A música de Roger Taylor "Say It's Not True", foi originalmente escrita à luz do lançamento da campanha 46664 em novembro de 2003. Roger escreveu a canção como um presente para Mandela e realizada e cantou-a para ele pela primeira vez com Brian May e Dave Stewart na inauguração 46664 em Cape Town. A música carrega a mensagem de que o HIV (AIDS) é algo que pode afetar qualquer um de nós, não importa nossa orientação sexual ou questões raciais.
Taylor realizou uma versão acústica da canção novamente durante a turnê Queen + Paul Rodgers em 2005 , toda vez dedicando-a ao trabalho de Mandela, com a finalidade de as pessoas e os políticos para combater a AIDS. Tendo sido tocada nas duas versões dos concertos 46664, mas gravada em estúdio este ano, Queen + Paul Rodgers decidiram reinterpretar a música, com todos os três partilhando os vocais, e fazer a música da banda como uma mensagem de apoio a Mandela este ano.

A última passagem da banda no Brasil foi no Rock in Rio de 1985. Rodgers e Queen lançaram, separadamente, mais de 50 álbuns durantes suas carreiras e venderam cerca de 300 milhões de cópias em todo o mundo.
